In this 3 part lesson plan, students will collaboratively design and 3D print a 3D contour model. The lesson process involves the analysis of a 2D contour map, which is used as a base to design the 3D model. An example map of Mt Everest is included in the lesson materials or teachers may source their own. Concepts explored throughout the project include scale, measurement, 3D design, inspection and collaboration.
